PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IPS (In-Plane Switching) type liquid crystal display device which is excellent in display quality without increasing the number of processes.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes: a pair of circuit boards, a first electrode and a second electrode, a first routing wiring and a second routing wiring which are provided on one circuit board, and a liquid crystal layer provided between the pairs of the circuit boards. The first electrode and the second electrode are formed like a tooth shape having a plurality of electrode branches, respectively. Each electrode branch of the first electrode and each electrode branch of the second electrode are alternately arranged with an edge space each elongated with a first distance. The first routing wiring and the second routing wiring in the region where they are arranged side by side are arranged so as to be approximately horizontal or orthogonal to the alignment direction of liquid crystal molecules which are approximately positioned in the approximately center of the layer thickness direction of the liquid crystal layer when the direction of each edge is not applied with voltage in the region where each edge is at least arranged side by side. The edge space between the first routing wiring and the second routing wiring in the region where each of them is arranged side by side is elongated with a second distance. |
