PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for controlling a cylinder interior into an appropriate combustion state irrespective of an operation state.SOLUTION: A fuel injection control device applied to a fuel injection system that executes a main injection and an after injection subsequent to the main injection from a fuel injection valve in one combustion cycle of an internal combustion engine, comprises: region estimation means (S412); and injection control means (S416). The region estimation means estimates a combustion region of a spray injected from the fuel injection valve. The injection control means adjusts an injection condition of at least any one of the main injection and the after injection on the basis of a combustion region of the main injection and a combustion region of the after injection that are estimated by the region estimation means. Examples of the injection condition are considered to include an injection quantity and multiple injections by increasing the number of injections of the after injection.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
