<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery generating no abnormal heat resulting from internal short-circuit and having excellent safety, by preventing internal short-circuit from being caused in the battery even if the nonaqueous secondary battery is accidentally crushed. <P>SOLUTION: A positive electrode 4 in which a positive electrode mix layer 4B is formed on a positive electrode collector 4A, and a negative electrode 5 in which a negative electrode mix layer 5B is formed on a negative electrode collector 5A are wound or laminated through a porous insulating layer 6 to form a group of electrodes 8, and the tensile elongation percentage of the positive electrode 4 is made 3.0% or higher.
