The present invention relates to a suction check valve for a variable swash plate type compressor, and a method for assembling the same. A suction check valve for a variable swash plate type compressor is assembled and installed between a coupling unit formed in an upper support unit of an upper portion of the inside of a suction port to be arranged in tiers by a T-cutting method and a recess unit formed to be flat and arranged in tiers by a milling method on an upper end surface of a lower portion of the inside of the suction port. Therefore, the present invention prevents a component of the suction check valve from being deformed since insertion pressure is reduced by the coupling unit after the suction check valve is installed between the upper support unit and a lower support unit of the suction portion by using an insertion method and reduces noise of a compressor. Moreover, the present invention increases the size of an inlet to improve performance of the compressor.
