<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brain function-improving composition useful for the improvement of learning function, apoplexy, dementia, Alzheimer's dementia, brain infarct, cerebrovascular accident or disorder of memory for living bodies. <P>SOLUTION: This brain function-improving composition is an extract mainly composed of a polyphenol component obtained by extraction of leaves of Ligustrum purpurascens (Y. C.
