PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire cord having lightness, flexibility, high tensile strength and high conductivity, and having extremely low reduction of electric resistance and stable conductivity when a tensile load and the like are loaded.SOLUTION: A wire cord contains an organic fiber yarn and satisfies following (1) to (4), the organic fiber yarn is coated by metals, and the organic fiber yarn coated by metals is coated by a thermoplastic resin. (1) Tensile strength of the organic fiber yarn is 15 cN/dtex or more. (2) The metal coated content to the organic fiber yarn is 100 wt.% or more based on the weight of the organic fiber yarn. (3) twist with a twist coefficient (TM) of 1.0 or more shown by the following formula is applied to the organic fiber yarn coated by metals, TM=T×√D/1055, where TM represents the twist coefficient, and D represents total fineness of the organic fiber yarn raw yarn (tex). (4) Electric resistance of the twisted organic fiber yarn coated by metals is 3.0 &OHgr;/m or less. |
