PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bottle can outer surface aqueous coating material with advanced processing functions and meeting performance required for applications on a can outer surface (e.g., coat hardness, retort resistance, etc.).SOLUTION: This aqueous resin composition includes a polyester resin (A) having, as indispensable components, a long-chain hydrocarbon skeleton (a) and a carboxyl group and obtained by reacting monomers including, as indispensable components, alcohols having 6 or more carbon atoms and/or carboxylic acid derivatives having 6 or more carbon atoms; an amino resin (B); and a phosphoric acid compound (C); as well as a water-miscible organic solvent, water, and, if necessary, an amine compound (D). |
