Provided is a rotary electrical machine comprising: an armature core; a plurality of base coils; and a plurality of upper-level coils and a plurality of lower-level coils. A virtual base coil fitting state, in which virtual coil pairs each appear for each phase in each of a plurality of set ranges which equally divide the armature core in the circumferential direction, is envisioned, two virtual phase coils which form the virtual phase coil pairs serve as virtual prescribed coils, and virtual base coils sandwiched by the two virtual prescribed coils serve as virtual adjustment coils, and when the foregoing has been established, the base coils are disposed at the positions of the virtual base coils, in such a manner that avoided are all the positions of the virtual prescribed coils and the virtual adjustment coils in an adjustment range which is a portion of the set ranges. The width dimension T1 of a magnetic pole tooth positioned at one end of the adjustment range is narrower than the width dimension T0 of another magnetic pole teeth by only T', and the width dimension T2 of a magnetic pole tooth positioned at the other end of the adjustment range is wider than T0 by only the same dimensions as T'. |
