The purpose of the present invention is to prevent a cable connected to an electronic component disposed in the interior of a hollow ball for sports from breaking due to an external force applied to the ball for sports and prevent all electrical contacts associated with the cable or the electronic component from damage. The ball 1 for sports comprises: a main body 10 forming the outer shape; an electronic component holding part 20 disposed in the interior of the main body 10 and holding an electronic component 21; terminal holding parts 30 which have terminals 31 on the outer side of the main body 10 and from which cables 32 connecting the terminals 31 and the electronic component 21 extend inside the main body 10; and displacement absorption parts 40 disposed in the interior of the main body 10. When an external force is applied to the main body 10 and the relative position of the electronic component holding part 20 is changed relative to the terminal holding parts 30, the displacement absorption parts 40 press the electronic component holding part 20 in such a direction that the electronic component holding part 20 returns to an initial relative position P which is the relative position of the electronic component holding part 20 relative to the terminal holding parts 30 when no external force is applied to the main body 10.
