<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive display medium which allows instantaneous writing of an image by pressing force and erasing of the image with the lapse of time, as well as a writing display device using this medium. <P>SOLUTION: The pressure-sensitive display medium includes: a pair of transparent base materials 2a and 2b which are set apart and opposed to each other; a sealing member 4 which seals the circumferential edge of the paired transparent base materials 2a and 2b; and a display layer 6 in which a composition obtained by infiltrating a fluid material into a porous material is packed in an airtight space surrounded by the paired transparent base materials 2a and 2b and the sealing member 4. When a pressing force is partially applied to one of the surfaces of the transparent base material 2a and 2b from the outside, the fluid material of the display layer 6 at a spot where the pressing force is applied, is discharged from the porous material. Further, after the release of the pressing force, the discharged fluid material flows into the porous material again.
