The present invention provides a method and system for configuration of a reference signal, a device having a base station function, a reference signal reception method, a reference signal reception system, and a terminal. The method for the configuration of the reference signal comprises: setting, in DRS Measurement Time Configuration (DMTC), at least one discovery reference signal; configuring a transmission parameter for the at least one discovery reference signal; and transmitting the transmission parameter to the terminal served by the device having the base station function, so that the terminal receives the at least one discovery reference signal according to the transmission parameter. With the technical solution of the present invention, the complexity of detecting a DRS by a UE can be reduced as much as possible while the possibility of DRS transmission is increased, so that the terminal exactly receives the DRS to realize frame synchronization and sub-frame synchronization.
