A METHOD OF PURIFICATION FOR IMPROVING QUALITY OF MUSK OBTAINED FROM ONDATRA ZIBETHICUS

PURPOSE: A method for purifying to improve quality of musk collected from Ondatra zibethicus L. is provided to use as a medicine and fragrance ingredient. CONSTITUTION: A method for purifying musk from Ondatra zibethicus L. comprises: a step of extracting musk by ultrasonic wave, cooling, and centrifuging; a step of removing ammonia material and foreign materials to obtain a first purified product containing 0.5% or more normuscone, 0.8% or more dihydro civetone and 0.1% or more civetone; a step of extracting the first purified product by ultrasonic wave and performing centrifugation and vacuum-concentration to obtain a second purified product containing 0.7% or more of normuscone, 1.0% or more of dihydro civetone, and 0.2% or more of civetone; and a step of performing chromatography.
