ZEOLITIC MOLECULAR SIEVE, PROCESS FOR ITS PREPARATION AND ITS USE

A zeolitic molecular sieve is described, the cavities of which are partially blocked. This partial blocking essentially concerns the beta cages which are preferably 50 to 100 % blocked. Preferred blocking agents are alkali metal and/or alkaline-earth metal salts with mono- or bivalent anions. The incorporation of these salts for partially blocking the cavities of the molecular sieve takes place during or after the synthesis of the zeolite. The zeolitic molecular sieve according to the invention is suitable for separating components from gases, in particular for purifying gases such as for example for desulphurizing natural gas.
