SYSTEM FOR PROTECTING A PRINTER FROM AN OVER-TEMPERATURE CONDITION IN A PRINTHEAD

PURPOSE: A system for protecting a printer from over-heating is provided to detect the temperature of a heater via an in-line fuse and to block power input to the heater by responding to an excessive temperature reading of the heater. CONSTITUTION: A system for protecting a printer(10) from over-heating comprises a first electronic circuit and a second electronic circuit. The first electronic circuit monitors a first electrical signal and stops the transmission of power to a print head in response to the detection of an accident. The second electronic circuit monitors the first electrical signal and controls the amount of electric power transferred to the print head.
