PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video reproducing device that eliminates effectively noise, according to the quantity of block noise or mosquito noise and reproduces a video signal with high image quality. SOLUTION: An MPEG decoder 11 decodes a signal subjected to MPEG encoding and provides an output of the decoded signal. A noise filter 13 eliminates the noise from a signal outputted from the MPEG decoder 11 and provides an output of the resulting signal. A microcomputer 12 receives a transfer rate and motion detection information from the MPEG decoder 11 and controls the varying setting of a noise elimination effect of the noise filter 13, according to the transfer rate and the motion detection information. |
