PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope system excellent in operability permitting to automatically adjust a balance of forward and backward speeds of a piezoelectric actuator. SOLUTION: This endoscope system is characterized by being provided with an endocope, an actuator 33 for moving a lens of an objective optical system of the endoscope by the back and forth motion of the driven part, which is installed in an insertion part of the endoscope and also having a driven part moved back and forth by rapid deformation of a piezoelectric element a storage means 50 which is arranged in the endoscope and stores the speed information at the time of the back and forth motion of said driven part, and a control device 14 which is electrically connected with the endoscope and controls the actuator drive based on the speed information from said storage means so that the driven part is moved almost at the same speed both at the forward and backward motions. |
