PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcasting method, which transmits necessary information so as to reduce the standby electric power of a device which receives a digital broadcast as much as possible, and its receiving device. SOLUTION: Prior to the transmission utilization information for a reception- side device from a transmission side, transmission schedule information including the type 11 of the utilization information, a receiving device identifier indicating a transmission object 12 of the utilization information, and the transmission time 13 when the utilization information is transmitted is multiplexed with a transport stream of service (program) and transmitted.
