PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat transfer ink sheet, small in the abrasion of a head, not generating the fusion welding between a thermal head or powder drop on the thermal head upon printing a picture and excellent in running stability. SOLUTION: A heat transfer ink sheet is provided with a heat transferring ink layer 2, formed on one side of a substrate 1, and a heat-resistive lubricous layer 3, formed on the other side of the same. The layer 3 is constituted of a resin binder layer and spherical fillers, dispersed and retained in the resin binder layer, while the ratio of the average grain size of spherical fillers to the thickness of the resin binder layer (spherical fillers average grain size/resin binder layer thickness) is specified so as to become 1.2-1.8. |
