A detergent composition characterized by containing a specific hydrophobized polyether urethane and an anionic surfactant and/or an amphoteric surfactant. The detergent composition exhibits excellent viscousness, is excellent in foaming properties and duration of foaming, and gives after rinsing a feeling of cleanness without sliminess.
