PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for culturing a Pleuronectiformes fish (flat fish), by which the fish can be cultured in an aquarium having a simple structure without performing an artificial treatment such as the administration of a medicine or a hormone treatment, while reducing labors and cost for managing the culturing of the fish as much as possible and improving the prevention of blacking. SOLUTION: (1) This method for culturing the flat fish comprises culturing a hatched Verasper moseri fry in a sanded aquarium, until the fry grounds, and then culturing the fry grounded on the bottom of the sanded aquarium in the sanded aquarium, until the fry reaches a prescribed day-old A.
