<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical printer head which has a high strength, is inexpensive and is superior in the workability. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical printer head, a housing 4 with a rod lens array 3 fixed thereto, and a base plate 5 are disposed above a head substrate 1 and below the head substrate, respectively. The head substrate 1 has many light emitting elements arranged in an array shape or in a staggering line shape in a main scanning direction. The base plate 5 is formed by press working of a metal flat sheet and consists of a long-shaped substrate mounting part 5a where the head substrate 1 is mounted, and leg parts 5b and 5c at both side faces in a longitudinal direction of the substrate mounting part. Moreover, the leg parts 5b and 5c are multilayer structures of a metal flat sheet with the metal flat sheet folded at the lower ends. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
