<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an abrasion-resistant magnetic fiber, by which the magnetic fiber having a surface magnetic characteristic of≥100 gauss and a good abrasion-resistant magnetic force can easily be produced. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the abrasion-resistant magnetic fiber comprises imparting a mixture of magnet powder with thermoplastic resin powder to a fiber, thermally treating the fiber, imparting thermoplastic resin powder to the imparted portion of the fiber or covering the surface of the imparted portion of the fiber with a nonwoven fabric composed from a thermoplastic resin, pressing the treated fiber, and then magnetizing the fiber. In addition, the method for producing the abrasion-resistant magnetic fiber comprises imparting a mixture of magnet powder with thermoplastic resin powder to a fiber, imparting thermoplastic resin powder to the imparted portion of the fiber or covering the surface of the imparted portion of the fiber with a nonwoven fabric composed from a thermoplastic resin, thermally treating the fiber, pressing the treated fiber, and then magnetizing the fiber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
