An information processing apparatus and a control method therefor are provided to check an error generated by a used graphics function before a print process under environment that graphics functions with different print data generating formats coexist. An information processing apparatus comprises the followings: a determination unit(501) that determines whether a combination of an output request application and a printer driver assigned as an output destination is a combination of a first application and a first printer driver or a combination of a second application and a second printer driver; and an output unit(502) that outputs confirmation information in order to check whether to execute a print process when the determination unit determines that the combination of the output request application and the printer driver is neither the combination of the first application and the first printer driver nor the combination of the second application and the second printer driver.
