PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system which enhances convenience, e.g., reduction of latency time until a device can execute processing, and to provide an image processing device, and an image processing method.SOLUTION: An information processing system includes determination means having a plurality of image processing devices connected by a network, and determining whether or not a first image processing device is executing a predetermined processing, when a person existing within a predetermined range from the first image processing device is detected, measurement means for measuring the distance between the first image processing device and each of other image processing devices, based on the radio waves received from each of a plurality of other image processing devices different from the first image processing device, and state transition means transmitting a request for transiting the operational state to a state capable of executing the predetermined processing, to a second image processing device selected according to the distance, out of the plurality of other image processing devices, when a determination is made that the first image processing device is executing the predetermined processing, by the determination means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
