PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure detection device for a DC/DC converter capable of reducing a surge voltage generated by opening and closing a switching element, and of detecting disconnection failures in a primary coil part in which a plurality of primary coils are connected in parallel or failures in a passive element that configures a snubber circuit.SOLUTION: A failure detection device 1 for a DC/DC converter comprises a voltage detector 4 and a failure detector. The voltage detector 4 detects a first voltage after a control device 23 opens and closes a switching element 22 intermittently for a certain period. The failure detector determines disconnection failures in a primary coil part 21a or failures in a passive element that configures a snubber circuit 3 when a detection voltage after opening and closing that is a detection voltage of the first voltage detected by the voltage detector 4 is not included within a normal-time voltage range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
