PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information system capable of easily performing access to a storage medium whose data are encrypted by a library device.SOLUTION: A decryption key acquisition part included in a personal computer of an information system acquires a decryption key to be used for releasing the encryption of the data of a storage medium performed by a library device. A decryption key transmission part performs control to transmit the decryption key acquired by the decryption key acquisition part to a drive device. An encryption release notification signal reception part performs control to receive an encryption release notification signal indicating that a drive device has released encryption from the drive device. Also, a decryption key reception part included in the drive device of the information system performs control to receive a decryption key from the personal computer. An encryption release part releases encryption on the basis of the decryption key. An encryption release notification signal transmission part performs control to transmit an encryption release notification signal to the personal computer when the encryption release part releases encryption.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
