PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine capable of improving reliability even when having a structure employing a shaft sealing structure by what is called a labyrinth structure.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine according to the present embodiment comprises: a rotary electric machine body part constituting an outer shell; a rotary shaft for rotating a rotor provided in a rotary electric machine body; a support part provided to the rotary electric machine body part and supporting the rotary shaft; a cover part fixed to a region, projecting outside the support part, of the rotary shaft, and covering the support part; a support part-side projection part and a support part-side recessed part provided to the support part and each in a ring shape having its center on the rotary shaft; a cover part-side recessed part provided to the cover part, having a ring shape having its center at the rotary shaft, and facing the support part-side projection part; a cover part-side projection part provided to the cover part, having a ring shape having its center at the rotary shaft, and facing the support part-side recessed part; and a radial groove part provided to the support part-side projection part and extending along a radial direction of the rotary shaft.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
