PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a segmented electroluminescent device allowing flexible and easy production and a reliable operation.SOLUTION: The present invention discloses an electroluminescent device including a substrate and an electroluminescent stack portion that includes a substrate electrode on the substrate, a counter electrode, and an at least one organic electroluminescent layer arranged between the substrate electrode and the counter electrode. An encapsulation means at least encapsulates the electroluminescent stack portion, at least one dividing part divides at least the counter electrode into a plurality of electrically separated counter electrode segments, an electrically non-conductive protective means is arranged, below the dividing part, on the substrate electrode exceeding the dividing part, and the protective means is arranged on the substrate electrode with a shape suitable to prevent the emergence of a shadowing edge.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
