PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulation material that is light in weight, suppresses thermal conductivity from increasing even at 1000°C or more, and comprises a porous sintered body.SOLUTION: A heat insulation material comprises a sintered body of MgAlOceramic, and has its porosity of 85-91 vol%, where pores with a pore diameter of 0.8-10 μm occupy 10-40 vol% of a total pore volume and pores with a pore diameter of 0.01-0.8 μm occupy 5-10 vol% of the total pore volume, and a weight ratio of Si to Mg in the sintered body is 0.15 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
