PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vehicle image processing apparatus and a vehicle image processing method capable of easily detecting the optical axis deviation of an on-vehicle camera in three directions, i.e., vertical direction, horizontal direction and direction of rotation, with no impact on the design of the vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle image processing apparatus includes a position acquisition unit for acquiring the position and azimuth of a vehicle, an image acquisition unit for acquiring the image on the outside of the vehicle captured by means of an on-vehicle camera, and a judgement unit for judging deviation of the optical axis of the on-vehicle camera, by comparing the elevation angle of a straight line, obtained by contour extraction of an image acquired by the image acquisition unit, and the distance from the image center with the elevation angle of a reference line, obtained by contour extraction of a reference image acquired by the image acquisition unit in the pact, and the distance from the image center.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
