The device has a door lock moved between a pre-locking position and a main detent position, and a closing aid completely closed in a closing operation based on manually adjusted position of a sliding door (10). The closing aid comprises a main stage for independently adjusting the main detent position based on the pre-locking position in the closing operation. The closing aid includes a primary stage (18) arranged upstream to the main stage for independently adjusting the pre-locking position based on the main detent position in the closing operation.
