摘要 Provided are: a method for generating mechanical and electrochemical cavitation; a method for changing the geometric shape and electrochemical properties of the surface of a substance; a method for peeling off a rare metal using the mechanical and electrochemical cavitation thus generated; and a method for causing a mechanical and electrochemical cavitation generator to perform generation. The method for generating mechanical and electrochemical cavitation comprises: jetting water jet from a jet nozzle (20) having been immersed in water (W1); irradiating with ultrasonic waves (U1) a position at which, for flow cavitation generated accompanying the jetting of the water jet, the flow cavitation is expandable and the flow velocity of the flow cavitation reaches to a preset moving velocity or less; and thus generating multifunction cavitation (MFC) having both mechanical and electrochemical functions.
