PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable suppression of drying of a liquid in a periphery of a discharge port.SOLUTION: A printer includes a head 1, a cap mechanism, a humidifying mechanism, and a control device. The humidifying mechanism includes a supply flow passage having a supply port part 65 extending longitudinally along an upstream side side surface 1S1 of the head 1, and carries out humidifying operation of supplying humidified air from the supply port part 65 to a discharge space S1. The supply flow passage is so structured that the humidified air supplied from the supply port part 65 to the discharge space S1 is supplied more to an outer side than a center of the discharge part S1 with regard to a longitudinal direction. The control device controls the humidifying mechanism so that the humidifying operation is carried out when an image is recorded. |
