PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte for an electric power storage device having a negative electrode including elemental magnesium which prevents the formation of a passive state of a negative electrode including elemental magnesium, allows a large-current, high-capacity electric power storage device to be obtained at a low cost without using a dangerous component, and enables the constitution of an electric power storage device system by magnesium exclusively.SOLUTION: An electrolyte is for an electric power storage device having a negative electrode including elemental magnesium. The electrolyte comprises a magnesium salt, a lithium salt and solvent. The electrolyte includes 0.13-1.08 mol% of the lithium salt to the magnesium salt. |
