<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller, a host device, an authentication information server, and a network system for performing access to a storage device while restricting unauthorized access to a controller functioning as a storage device. <P>SOLUTION: The controller includes: a storage device 110 for storing data; a communication part 120 for communicating with a host device 200 connected to a network 300; an authentication part 130 for performing authentication based on predetermined authentication information in response to an authentication request for communication connection transmitted from the host device 200; a command analyzing part 140 for receiving and analyzing a command related with data access issued from the host device 200 authenticated by the authentication part 130, and for generating an instruction based on an analysis result; and a data providing part 150 for performing access to the storage device 100 based on an instruction from the command analyzing part 140. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
