<p>PURPOSE: A biomarker for detecting cell proliferative diseases, which specifically binds to arginine-methylated peroxiredoxin I is provided to screen a material suppressing arginine methylation. CONSTITUTION: A biomarker for detecting cell proliferative diseases specifically binds to arginine-methylated peroxiredoxine I. The cell proliferative disease is cancer. A kit for detecting cell proliferative disease is cancer. A kit for detecting cell proliferative diseases contains an antibody which is specific to the arginine-methylated peroxiredosin I. A method for screening a material which suppresses methylation of arginine comprises: a step of treating a candidate suppressing methylation of the arginine in peroxiredoxin I from a tissue sample of a patient; a step of conforming methylated peroxiredoxin I; a step of comparing the case that the candidate material is not treated; and a step of selecting a material suppressing methylation.</p> |
