<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reproducing device capable of performing guide display that corresponds to the situation and intention of a user. <P>SOLUTION: When coming into contact with a direction button 73 being a contact detection operating member, an imaging device 100 determines whether to be currently in a reproduction mode (S2). In the case of being not in the reproduction mode but in a photographing mode, the imaging device 100 performs guidance display for a button operation (S4). The imaging device 100 performs the guidance display, and finishes the guidance display after a fixed time elapses (S7). When a button operation is performed before the fixed time elapses, the imaging device 100 finishes the guidance display (S9), and performs behavior corresponding to a relevant button operation (S8).
