PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector with which the spread of a terminal metal piece having a pressure contacting part is restricted when an electric wire is to be pushed into the metal piece and establish a pressure contacting method for electric wire to the terminal metal piece. SOLUTION: When a terminal metal piece is accommodated in the cavity of a connector housing 2, the upper part of the pressure contacting part 14B of the metal piece will protrude upward from the side face 8 of the cavity. When an electric wire 15 is to be pushed into the metal piece by a pressure contact push die 18, therefore, it is possible for a holder piece 20 to secure the part 14B in such a way as embracing from the sides, which allows restricting the spreading of the metal piece. This permits establishing a good connecting condition of the terminal metal piece with a core wire 17. |
