<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition for ink-jet recording, which can realize images excellent in colorability, stability and fixity, is especially excellent as an ink composition for ink-jet printing, and is excellent in ink discharging stability from an ink-jet heads. <P>SOLUTION: This ink composition for ink-jet recording comprises at least a dispersion enabling the dispersing of a pigment in water, polymer fine particles, and a compound represented by formula (I): R-[(PO)<SB>n</SB>-(EO)<SB>m</SB>]-H (I), wherein R is a 4 to 18C alkanol group; PO is propyleneoxy group; EO is ethyleneoxy group; H is hydrogen; (n) is 4 to 12; (m) is 1 to 12; the order of PO and EO may be random or blocked in [ ] of the formula, wherein the particles of the dispersion have an average particle diameter of 50 to 300 nm; the polymer fine particles have a glass transition temperature of ≤-10°C and an acid value of ≤100 mgKOH/g, and contain ≥70 wt.% of an alkyl (meth)acrylate and/or a cyclic alkyl (meth)acrylate; and the compound represented by formula (I) is contained in an amount of 0.1 to 10 wt.% based on the total amount of the ink composition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
