PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soundproof wall to be easily constructed and capable of preventing the noise pollution and capable of purifying the atmospheric air. SOLUTION: A sound absorbing material 2 is fitted to a side surface of a wall plate 1 of the concrete, and the wall plate 1 is fixed onto the road by inserting anchor bolts 3 into through holes 12 drilled in a leg part 11, and the sound absorbing material 2 carries the optical catalyst 21 in the outer surface thereof. Noise pollution can be effectively prevented by the sound insulating effect by the wall plate 1 of the concrete and the sound absorbing effect by the sound absorbing material 2 fitted to the side surface. The atmospheric air can be purified by the optical catalyst 21. Furthermore, since the wall plate 1 is fixed onto the road by inserting the anchor bolts 3 into the through holes 12 drilled in the leg part 11, in comparison with the conventional way, a necessity of constructing supports is eliminated, and labor for the construction of support is eliminated so as to facilitate the construction.
