PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide primer compositions excellent in adhesion between an adherend such as a metal, a rubber, and a plastic and an adherent agent such as an adhesive, a sealing agent, and a coating material, heat resistance, light- resistance, weatherability and the like. SOLUTION: A primer composition comprises a halogenated product of a copolymer of a p-alkylstyrene with an isoolefin and at least one member selected from the group consisting of an aminosilane, a polyisobutylene having an alkoxysilyl group at the terminal, and a deaminated type silicone. For example, rubber tubes which have been coated with this composition and further with a releaser are used in the vulcanization molding of tires.
