PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To omit a vent pipe, and to save an underfloor piping space and reduce piping construction cost in a drainage and vent system for a building. SOLUTION: Two horizontal main pipes 2, 3 are connected by a collective joint 1, and a horizontal branch pipe 5 is connected to the side face of the collective joint 1. A masking shield 1d separating drain 8 from the horizontal branch pipe 5 from drain 7 from the horizontal pipe 2 in the collecting joint 1 is disposed in upright, and a vent hole 6 is formed on the upper side of the masking shield 1d. Thus, when drain 8 from the horizontal branch pipe 5 converges to drain 7 from the horizontal main pipe 2, ventilating layers 9-12 are ensured extending over the overall length of a drain passage in the upper section of the internal space of the horizontal-drawing drain pipe because both drain 7, 8 are separated by the masking shield and flow-regulated while the ventilating layer 9 of the horizontal branch pipe 5 is communicated with the ventilating layer 11 of the collecting joint 1 through the vent hole 6, and pressure fluctuation in the horizontal-drawing drain pipe is inhibited.
