PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for continuously producing a polyester, designed to suppress a shock in polymer filter changeover operation, capable of cutting both installation cost and running cost and of improving product yields as well. SOLUTION: This method for continuously producing a polyester polymer through a plurality of polycondensation reactors comprises filtering a molten polymer through a polymer filter 8 set up between the final reactor 3 and the preceding reactor 2; wherein the outlet side of the final reactor 3 is not provided with such a filter 8.
