TRANSPARENT PAPER FOR INK JET RECORDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent paper for ink jet recording having excellent ink jet suitability without oozing or flooding of ink while retaining transparency under a stabilized operability without generating any wrinkle or cocking. SOLUTION: The transparent paper is prepared by a method wherein coating liquid employing an organic solvent, whose principal constituent is silica and vinylpyrrolidone polymer and whose solvent is an organic solvent, is applied on a transparent paper manufactured of pulp treated by the high degree of beating. In this case, the weight ratio of mixing (A/B) of the silica (A) to the vinylpyrrolidone (B) is taken to be 0.2-1.0.
