PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode with superior adhesiveness to a piezoelectric substrate and having environmental characteristics, such as corrosion resistance and to provide a piezoelectric vibrator mounted with a piezoelectric vibration chip which adopts the electrode. SOLUTION: The electrode is formed to the surface of the piezoelectric substrate with an electrode material of an alloy, the principal component of which is copper and in which molybdenum is added thereto or an alloy the principal component of which is copper and in which molybdenum and aluminum are added thereto. The piezoelectric vibrator is formed, by mounting in the inside of a package the piezoelectric vibration chip adopting the electrode material which is the alloy, the principal component of which is copper and in which molybdenum is added thereto or the alloy, the principal component of which is copper and in which molybdenum and aluminum are added thereto.
