PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device, an information processing method, and its program capable of shortening seek time necessary for accessing a file recorded in a recording medium. SOLUTION: A data processing device 1 stores continuous field management information relating with position information on the head of each continuous field and a continuous amount of each continuous field on the recording medium 200. The data processing device 1 responds to a demand for data reading-out from a specific location of information data and identifies position information at a data reading position responding to the specific location by referring to the continuous field management information, and reads a part or all of information data from the reading position on the recording medium 200 in response to the specific position information.
