In particular young animals show a tendency to getting digestive problems after their diet has been converted into vegetal matter and need a treatment, applied with the drinking water. The supply unit (1) for a large number of animals comprises a duct (2) connected with one end to a mixing container (3) and is fitted with a pump (4) close to the outlet. The opposite end of the duct (2) is sealed against fluid and gaseous substances, but contains a short stretch filled with gas (6). The water and the treatment are guided through separate pipes (10, 12) into the mixing container (3) and from there to various outlets (7).
