The invention relates to a device for containing at least one food product, which is to be subjected to a heat treatment in an apparatus having a heat source, by an end user. As a non-limitative example a frozen slice of bread is referred to, which can be thawed in a microwave oven. The device itself comprises at least one holder for containing the food product. That holder is produced from a material, that is insensitive to and transmissive for the heat treatment.
