PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stiffening member and a vehicle front body structure capable of enhancing the steering stability and vibration transmission preventiveness by increasing the rigidity of a transverse link mounting part and a side frame during the normal traveling, and preventing collapse of the side frame and serious effect on the collision performance during a collision. SOLUTION: The stiffening member 1 is fastened to a side frame 20 of a vehicle by fastening members 27, 28, and has a first fastening part 5 detached from the fastening members 27, 28 when the vehicle is collided, and a second fastening part 10 to be fastened to a transverse link mounting part 24 provided on a cross member 21 from a rear part.
