PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid honing machine capable of smoothly rotating a work retainer. SOLUTION: The work retainer 3 is vertically disposed in a honing tank 2, and integrally provided at a lower end portion of a driven rotating shaft 4 which is rotated following a self-revolving operation of the work W. A box body 6 sealed in such a state as to prevent invasion of honing liquid is disposed at a lower side of a top wall portion 2a of the honing tank 2. An elevating shaft 8b is vertically positioned, elevates in an axial direction, and which is inserted in the box body 6 through from the upper side of the top wall portion 2a of the honing tank 2 to the top wall portion 2a. The upper portion of the driven rotating shaft 4 is inserted in the box body 6 through from the lower side of a bottom wall portion 6b of the box body 6 to the bottom wall portion 6b. Inside the box body 6, the upper end portion of the driven rotating shaft 4 is rotatably connected to the lower end portion of the elevating shaft 8b through a rotating shaft coupling 5.
